Natural Desert Rose Crystal Formation – Selenite

Celestite aka Celestine is a strontium sulfate mineral with an orthorhombic crystal system and a hardness of 3 to 3.5. It forms both tabular and prismatic crystals. The main location it’s found is Madagascar but a significant deposit was found in Ohio in 1996.
