Authentic Ammonite Polished Fossil – Half Cut

Ammonite fossils are one of the most common and popular fossils collected by young and amateur fossil hunters. This marine animals had an external shell which was divided into many chambers. While the animal lived in the largest chamber the remaining chambers were filled with gas, which they used to control buoyancy and movement. Ammonites lived during the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods.
